ok, i'm still new to all this, but where i live, you don't find NOS, and everytime i look for it, its always for the bigger V6's....so, where would i look to find nos for a 3.1?? and another thing, does anyone in here know where i can find some good gfx?? i seen some nice ones at the bone yard, but the front end is always messed up or there not all there.... thanx for anyone that can help me, and help me find some headers that would fit on a 3.1 too... ......thanx

 

Don't look locally, dude... give Summit Racing a call, and tell them you want the NOS system for your year/model/engine of f-body. Find them thru 1-800-230-3030 (get parts & pricing info), or http://www.summitracing.com - you'll pay a ton less than local shops want. NOS's website is at http://www.nosnitrous.com .

 

would u happen to know where i might be able to find some headers that would fit my car? would headers from a 3.4 work? or even a 3.8?? does anyone know what the magazine is thats just for 3rd gen f-bodies?? my friend has one, but he lost it...i would appreciate it.......

 

3.1Firebird was able to get the 3.4 Pacesetter headers to work on his car by doing some bending with a torch. A 3.8's headers won't line up. Past that, we're out of luck, unless you find a set on Ebay.

I didn't know there was a magazine for 3rd gens... if anyone has the name that'd be great!

 

you may be thinking of GM High Tech Performance, it's mainly thirdgen with a few gn's and gnx's thrown in. a few 4th gens as well

 

They sell a kit for the 2.8/3.1 for NOS. Glad to hear your not wasting money on a chip and pulleys first and are jumping right into real power. CAM, Rockers, Double Roller, Exhaust, NOS, then the easy crap..
