V6 electric cooling fan switch
Hi guys , how is my 1988 2.8 electric fan switched on/ off ?
can i adjust or change sensor so it comes on earlier ?

You'd have to burn a new chip for the ECM. It's controlled by engine temp. I had a toggle switch wired in to my car so I could switch it on/off when I wanted to, if I was sitting in line at the drag strip waiting or stop/go traffic.

The one for a '89 TTA turns on at 100°C/212°F. Just double check first that it has the same threads. Note that there are other temperature switches with other turn on temperatures.

Hi there,
Rodney Dickman has Fiero parts for the V6, and has a switch that works for our V6. Needs a 180F thermostat, though.
