Gas Mileage

How much better is the gas mileage in the V6 options 2.8 and 3.1 vs the 8 cylinder motors? Is it that much different?

Re: Gas Mileage

If you search the web, you'll find factory as-new claimed mileage.

PS...no one buy an Fbody for a gas sipper

Re: Gas Mileage

It's actually worse around town in the V6 if you're trying to keep up with traffic. Mildly better on the highway, but nothing to write home about.

Re: Gas Mileage

My first Camaro had a 2.8 with automatic (engine rebuilt and ran perfect). It got low 20's on the highway. My rebuilt 305 with manual gets 22-23 highway, so about the same mileage but more power.
