Mangled vacuum line on 1988 2.8 MPFI, what part is it?

Line runs from the throttle body/MAF sensor, under the intake, to the back of the block next to valve cover.

It was all melted (???)

so i bought this camaro impulsively for $500... i am a bodyman but i have a few mechanical hurdles to get it up the road where i will be doing all the bodywork it needs. I've been told this is the pcv line from my father, but i dont think thats the case because nothing ive looked up resembles the defunct melted part, which i have lost. The motor has good compression, new plugs, and cranks very well but wont stay running. Please help!! I need this part to minimize vacuum leaks so i can continue my project!

Im new here, ill listen to any advice and im sure soon enough ill be a regular. Dont be afraid to call me stupid either, me and the car both are gonna need some tough love to get this restoration done.
