What's Up With This....

I went to order my Dynomax exhaust system from Summit but they are charging truck freight so the total comes to around $223.00 if I pick it up at the terminal, but JEG'S doesn't charge truck frieght for the system so I am looking at around $162.00 from them. What gives? I thought that Tom P and some of you other guys got yours from Summit for the $162.00 price.
Needless to say I am going with JEG'S and with the Dynomax converter I am getting the total only comes to $252.97

Hey CC. The one thing that's great about summit is they have AWESOME customer service. Call them up, and tell them what's up, and they'll definately change it for you. mine was at the 170 range cuz I got next day air, but it didn't come in w/i 2 days so they refunded me my shipping costs.

CC, Tell me how it comes out with shipping cause I'll be getting the same system. Can't we order this dynomax system from parts stores or not.

It can be ordered through auto parts store. I checked with Advance Auto and the system came to over $250 and they couldn't get the Catalytic Converter. I am going to go ahead and order mine through JEG'S. In fact the order is going out today.

I contatced Summit about their price with the truck shipping and was told that this is how it always has been.

What dynomax part # is it? Summit would tack on an additional $15 for "bulky item"- but to tack on $110 is insane. You can have a motor shipped for that. What's the part #?

[edit] Oh and did you tell them what Jegs will do?
[edit2] Are you somewhere in Maryland that is outside of normal shipping lanes? Like, UPS isn't on that route, so they have to hire a separate truck? I don't see why the shipping difference would be so much between Central Nj and MD...
