This happened last summer. It took awhile for my friend to find the film as he's not the sharpest tool in the shed(he's the one with the glasses). I was passing a car and right when I got in front of him it fell off. He probably laughed his @ss off. I barely found enough stuff to hold it somewhat off the ground. That and trying not to burn myself. Just had it welded a month before too.

Got five coathangers holding it on now, but soon as the cat gets here it'll be straight.

Wayne, I got my Oval German Front License plate back in the 70's.
Can't say more than that, it's oval.

yeah that grinding noise scared me, but soon as I slowed down I could hear the open exhaust and thought "well at least it's just the exhaust."

My cat was sent to the wrong address so I'm still waiting. got the muffler though.

I think I've seen an oval plate somewhere a long time ago. There's a sign store in Frankfurt that has some european plates and also some rare N. American plates. Ever seen a Canadian Northwest Territories bear shaped plate? Think I'll pick it up next time I go.

The first time I had that happen, I was two miles from home with no tools... so I just drove it home dragging the muffler... lots of racket... gotta love when the muffler bounces...

The second time I was cruising in the iroc, stereo bumping, tops out, in a bad part of town and the muffler dropped... oh, and it was 2am... Had to call my mom and have her bring me a 13mm socket and ratchet... Pulled the muffler, dropped it in the trunk and drove the Iroc home.

The third time it happened I was on the interstate... not cool.

I've used wire hangers to support exhaust pipes a couple of times, but never on a car I cared about.

Believe me I hate having it rigged like this, but it's taken me awhile to figure out what to replace my ailing system with.

Hey postal system....WHERE THE ---- IS MY CAT?!!!
