Kumho Ecsta AST's
I just got my first set. 245/50-16 for my GTA.
I pretty much love them
$60 a piece from tirerack.
Better treadwear rating and stiffer sidewall than the 711's too.
Quiet on concrete compared to my old Michelins, ride is great as well.
In the rain they worked as advertised.
Only thing I would rate good versus great on the tires would be dry traction, but I think that is only due to the large rain channel
Very impressed for what they cost and in comparison to some other cheaper tires I have tried.

I have been using Kumhos since they first came out here in the USA. I am currently running the new SPTs which have a very nice tread pattern, and are wearing very good... Kumhos are definitely a bang for the buck.

Glad to hear someone likes Kumho products... I hesitate to be negative but Sorry, I dont get any warm fuzzies with the Ecsta Supra 712's on my Z. Ever since new, they always develop flat spots when the car is parked any longer than a week. The money saved wasnt worth the poor ride quality.

I have Ecsta Supras on my RS and am extremely pleased with them. Excellent dry traction, decent wet traction, and great handling...and for only about $90 a piece.

I started out with the 712s, but with my T56 and my 4.10s they didnt survive long. The SPTs are definitely better. I have even had the MXs, and still like the SPTs better.

Exactly what you are saying was the only negatives I found on the 711 or 712.
This car is more a 55k original im planning on keeping that way.
Also why I opted for the AST's and the stiffer sidewall and better treadware rating.
