I just happen to work as one of the supervisors in Costco's tire center here in Houston. If you want the best tire for all season use I would pick the Michelin Hydroedge as it has outstanding traction in wet weather(obvious reason for name) and comes with a 90,000 mile warranty which is our highest mileage tire. It all comes down to what type of tire you are willing to pay for, michelin are higher mileage and the BFGs are lower in price.

Well, I'm about in the same boat, I don't know a whole ton about tires... But I do know I use Tiger Paw GTs and they are some bad *** tires. Good for grip, not so great for snow.. yep.

Then the BFG Traction TA or Michelin HGT H4 would be your best bet. I would recommend going to both companies websites because you can compare these tires and choose which one best fits your needs and you will feel better knowing that you picked it yourself

bfg traction t/a's or bfg radial t/a's are popular and have a prety good life. radial t/a's also wont break the bank.
