I have someone who will swap me their rims for a set of rims I have here.He says they are a perfect fit for a firebird formula.
they are 15x8 with 3.5 inch backspace.I think they will stick out.
am I right?

They will "stick out" about ½" farther than stock.

Doubt you'll notice it.

Run 245/55 tires. /50 will be too short, and /60 will be about as far as you'll want to go. Any wider than 255, and they'll look like stupid, like balloons, like they usually do when people put too wide of a tire on narrow stock-width wheels like that, as well as being hard on the tires.
