How wide are these stock wheels?
How wide are these stock wheels?
Hey guys,
I don't know what these wheels are called, but I'm pretty sure they're factory. If someone knows how wide they are that'd be sweet.
Here they are

Those are stock right? I don't have the car yet so I'm trying to see as much as I can. I'm asking just because i'm trying to find out what wheels/tires I would go with.

Need more information. What year is the car? I am assuming is a 6 cylinders?
From the picture it looks like Firebird Trans Am rims, not GTA. I wouldnt think it a Trans Am rims, cause the tires looks too narrow. Maybe, 235's wide tires? Can't really tell if it stock without knowing the year?

they look like cutlass wheels or something to me. look like the ones I have a set of slicks mounted on. Mine are actually 14x7, IIRC...haven't messed with them in a while.
Re: How wide are these stock wheels?
It's the only pic that showed any of the wheel.
Off topic.. If I'm throwing 15" drag wheels on a mostly street driven 3rd gen, what size should I go up front? 4", 7", 8"? I think 4 might be too thin for street/highway driving?
And then what, 10" out back?

Re: How wide are these stock wheels?
if they're 15" steel with stainless trim rings and plastic centre caps (I can't tell for sure, but that's what they look like) then they're 15 x 7" (inside the bead) and if they're 83-85 Monte SS, those are zero offset (3.5 actual backspacing; 3.75 to 4" B.S. backspacing) S-10 had some that fit that description that would also be 7" and probably zero offset.
