I'll ask you this for everybody else before they do.....Please turn off all caps. On the internet, that is considered yelling or if just 1 word in caps, then you are emphasizing that single word.

And if you are going to restore a 82, you can't put 16" or 17" wheels on. Because the factory did not offer those sizes on a 3rd gen in 82.

16, 17, or even 18s will fit , you just have to decrease the tire side-wall hight (aspect ratio) as the rims get larger to keep the overall tire height close the original height for clearance issues and so you dont have to change the vss / speedo gears.

Also, you should ask your questions on fitment and opinions in an appropriate thread using the search feature or you can start a new one. This thread is to display/view aftermarket rims as noted in the title, its considered rude to pop in and ask multiple off topic questions as we are trying to look at rims and rides here. Im not trying to flame you, just some simple guidance.

Those are nice! I May buy some for my T/A. What is the backspacing on those? Are they all 4.5" BS? Also, are the lug nuts way up inside of the (lug) holes? Almost looks like there aren't any there in the pics?.?.

Thanks,

They are Miro 111's. Fronts are 18x8.5 ET 20, rears are 18x9.5 ET 20. These are a 5 Series BMW fitment. The 5x120 bolt pattern will be corrected shortly.

And they fit fine with no steering issues? What gen 5 Series wheels works on our cars?

I need something wider for the power I'll be putting down. Also curious as to what method you're going to use to "correct" the bolt pattern. I've seen everything from "hub centric rings," different bolts, to guys drilling the wheels.

Hub centric rings are required either way. They only make sure the wheel is centered on the axle/hub. Mine were $9 shipped from ebay. I will be correcting my bolt pattern the right way by recutting the lug seats a la 86TA's method. There are no "different bolts" that will solve the problem. Some people say you can run the wheels as is but I am choosing not to. It isn't a big deal to fix them and I will feel much safer after doing so. Look up 86TA's thread on the BMW PCD correction and take a look at the pics.

I'm not sure on the years of Bimmers that will work. Just look for the correct offset you need. I'm going to run a 295/35/18 on the rear. Not sure how much bigger you are wanting to go but I don't feel like doing any wheel well modifications so I got what I got. I spent many hours searching for wheels and plugging their specs into the calculators in the stickies above to make sure I got the perfect fitment. I also had my ginormous brakes to clear so my selection was limited. I would have liked to get a wheel with a nice lip but that doesn't jive with big calipers.

Nice, those deep concave miro 111s clear those calipers? The M111 was one of the wheels I was contemplating, went a different route but good to know they have that much caliper clearance

Makes me sad when you see a beautiful 3rd gen that, if treated right, could be one showy car, and people like you brother treat them like scrap (hehe) and just basically throw them away.

I saw a early 90's Camaro in a Walmart parking lot about 3 weeks ago. The car had at least 3 different colors worth of body parts, looked beaten to and from hell and back, and the shocks were out on the right side making the car sag and even LOOK sad. It looked at me like it was saying "Take me home and take care of me."

Seeing that poor thing was quite the bum-out. Never saw the driver though, but that was probably because it was an abandoned car.

They actually clear quite well. I call Miro and spoke to a tech that said he was 95% sure they wouldn't work. So I sent him the template from Baer and they checked it.

How much did it cost you for parts on baer brakes and the rims+tires? I'm still looking at zo6 rims but not sure if baer brakes have enough space? They look so sick, I been eyeing those brakes lately, but theres so many different ones. And how hard is it to swap all four originals with drums to baer brakes? Just got a new job last month at Wal mart DC, pays good while I'm also still at school. So I'm stacking it up until summer comes around to get my car running again.

Stock RS rims painted black. I pretty much got a brand new set of rims for 8 bucks. If you take your time and prep they can turn out pretty nice. Obviously nothing like spending thousands on rims but, on a 20 footer in general they look good. The second picture is what they were before paint when I just bought the car.

The title of this thread requests AFTERMARKET wheels. Not stock. Anyway, they looked better before you painted them black.

If you like your rims, don't worry about other's opinions. We get that guff about "old, stock and dirty" from yuppy's riding $40,000 trailered in bikes.
