yeah this was a job hrs of sanding and cleaning b4 i could ever paint them the only thing my shop don't have that would have been nice is a sand blaster



i got some clear coat that I'm going to put on one to see what it looks like I'm sure it will help with chipping

Looking good so far. Those looked nastier than mine, but I did a color change from red to black. I used aircraft stripper to remove the clear coat and most of the old red paint. Thought about just polishing them, but that would have been too much work for winter only wheels. I've since sold them and they now live on a Chevy S10 pickup.

yah would love to get some new rims but that will be the last thing i do. new zz4 soon just need to drive to FL and pick it up new paint soon and lot of other stuff. i don't have to drive it so i work on it a Little every day Christmas has made my progress slow down to the cheap stuff for now
