People with 18" rims inside please!

I've done a bunch of searching and cant find exactly what im looking for.

I'm looking to get a set of Boze Pro TOuring rims. I want to go 18x9" in the front and 18x10" in the rear. I'm clueless as to what backspacing I need. I've seen some people say 5" is the most you can get in the rear, and then I've seen some cars with 6" BS in the rear. I'm confused!

Also what size tires would you run on these rims?

Re: People with 18" rims inside please!

Trying calling Hawks for Bruce or email them.

I am wanted to do the same thing for an 18x9.5 front and rear 18x11 to get Boze Mesh rims.

I told Bruce all of the information I wanted and he is working it out with the Backspacing.

Before he suggestion that I run 18x9 and 18x10 with 6" BS all around, but I didnt want to.

He has a few of the 3rd gen Fbody running 18x9 and 18x10. Some are running 275 up front and rear 305 with Boze rims.

Hope this helps.

yup he's currently helping me on a set of the Pro Touring rims but I would still like to hear what other people have, or have figured out for their cars.

Re: People with 18" rims inside please!

with a 10" wide rim your best bet is to go with 6.5" backspacing, it may require some hammering/cutting the bump stops but the wheels will be completely under the fender. 1bad91z did 10" wide with 6.5"bs i'll try to find the thread...
