Where can I get my wheels re-done?
I need my Black GTA Crosslace wheels redone, the inside of the crosslace, and really the crosslace itself has lost all of its color, the inside is BROWN from never being cleaned.. and the outside it this drab grey. Where can I go, or what can I do to get the things cleaned out?? I was thinking about an acid bath or something..? But wouldn't that tarnish the aluminum alloy?
HELP!

Have you tried Mcguiers aluminum wheel cleaner and a scrub brush? The stuff in a spray bottle. It is basically acid and works really well.

LMAO!!! Have you ever tried to clean cross laces??? If they have not been taken care of nothing I have found works. I have found a place in NY or NJ (Cant remember) who refinishes wheels for $135 each tho. If you are interested I will look up the contact and send it to you
P.S. The aluminum wheel cleaner dosent work because the aluminum color surface has clear coat on it. So basicaly your cleaning "Paint". The color part gets down to tiny holes even with an old tooth brush its impossible to get in there. I used straight industrial car wash(You know the stuff that burns your hands if you dont wear gloves?) It didnt even scratch the burnt on brake dust......

I wasn't talking about aluminum polish, I was talking about the cleaner they sell in spray bottles. They have a couple of different kinds, one says "three piece wheel" one is for bare polished aluminum and there is one for stock finished wheels. Anyway they are "Meguires" brand sold at most parts stores and they all work well. Do you know what I'm talking about?
