Tallest tire for front and rear?

I have a 305 z28 with stock suspension. I need to know what the tallest tire I can fit on the front and rear will be. I have already decided to go with 225 all the way around. my rims are stock 15x7. As far as height, I was thinking 75 rear and 70 front. That would be 28.28 rear and 27.40 in the front. I know the stock size is 26", but I want taller tires. Will 27.40 inches on the front rub or will they be ok? Will 28.28 inches on the rear be ok or will they rub? If the fronts or rears will rub, is there an easy mod to fit the tires? I like the taller tires because of better gas mileage and it will fix my speedometer error that I currently have. Also the taller tires will help as I will be driving it in the snow(yes I know its a bad idea). thanks for the help guys.

Actually the stock tire size is 25.6" tall. Even a 26" tall tire in the front will rub on the fender liners when turning at full lock. how bad will depend on your wheel width and offset.

thats actually not entirely true. There are three stock tire sizes. 205/75/14, 215/65/15, and 235/60/15. If you look up those tire sizes, you will see they are different heights and I have the 215s which are exactly 26'' tall. The 235s are 26.10" and the 205s are 26.11". I don't know what you are looking at, maybe a 16" rim??? But why would a 26.11" tire come stock if it was going to rub?

26" in the front fills the wheel wells up nicely, and only slightly if running a 8" or wider rim. On the rear you can go to a 28" if you want, but would hurt your acceleration without changing gear ratios.
