Now you just need to lower the car and get rid of the 4x4 stance

Re: my trans am wheels

how does changing tires like that effect your spedometer, and how do you fix it so that it still reads properly? I had that problem in my Pickup when I bought it, the PO had too SMALL of tires on it....

A speedometer doesn't care what size the wheels are. The only thing that matters to the speedometer, is the overall diameter of the tire.

I went from 245/50R16 to 285/40R17 to 315/35R17 & my speedometer has read just fine with each tire change.

on mine the tire size was almost identical to the original size, otherwise change the speedo gear/ gears

Re: my trans am wheels

mkay, I understand now, I thought that the biggest number in the tire measurement, ie. 245, 275, 315, meant the diameter.

245/285/315 is the width. 50/40/35 is the % of the sidewall height.

50% of 245
40% of 287
35% of 315....All the same overall diameter.

As the width gets wider, the sidewall height drops, to maintain the overall diameter.
