Dirty Rims
i bought a set of 1992 Z-28 rims off this guy and they were extremely dirty they barely show any shine, i've tried regular soap n water and it just took some surface dirty but they still don't shine, and i've tried some Mothers products but its still not helping. I was wondering if i should try to power wash them or if i have to take them in and somehow get them refurbished.

Re: Dirty Rims
they probably need to be stripped, re-polished and rear clear coated.

Re: Dirty Rims
Get aircraft aluminum stripper, dont get the spray on stuff get the brush on stuff it is stronger, then put it on the whole rim make sure not to get it on the tire, becuase it will eat through the rubber, then after like 10 min power wash it off and try not to get it on u cuz it burns like a mother, then get an aluminum polish, this stuff is the best, it is called busch's aluminum polish, http://www.buschshineproducts.com/in...&products_id=3, i also prefer there stripper it does a better job, http://www.buschshineproducts.com/in...products_id=37. Then use a corded drill and a buffing ball and go to town. Dont use a cordless drill they dont spin fast enough. And There u go! New looking rims. When ur done u can clear coat them with some duplicolor rim paint or leave them unpainted so you can polish them whenever you want.
