I need to buy a new set of tires pretty soon the tires i currently have are 245/45r16 Hankook Ventus RS2's which are now discountinued. The RS2's are amazing as far as grip and cornering stability go and i refuse to downgrade. Now i only need new fronts so i plan on putting the tires from rear onto the front and replacing the rears. Also the car is lowered 2"+ front 2" rear so the wheel gap with the 45 sidewall is minimal. I wanted to stay with 245/45 but only tires availible are Toyo R888's they also come in 255/50 but are 1.5" taller. Then theres the Kumho Ecsta XS 265/45. Now my concern is the 265/45 tire rim width range is 8.5+ but for the VictoRacer V700-V710 rim width range is 8+ FOR THE SAME SIZE TIRE.

So will they work and perform??

Then if not, my problem with the Toyo's is even worse treadwear 100 compared to 180 and they're most likely worse in the rain also but they're proven performers just maybe too extreme for a daily driver. Anyone care to chime in.......
