im shopping around for different wheels for my camaro. right now i have 16x9 ghotti wheels off a mid 80's vette. my question is, can i run 11" wide wheels in the rear since im running 9" wide with 2" wheel spacers? if so what would be the backspacing i would need. i know a 10" wheel uses 5.5 backspacing, but not sure on an 11" wide.

 

Sure. I'm running 315s on 11"s/7"bs, no spacers on my stock 9-bolt with some wheelwell cutting & hammering.

With a 2" spacer (i'd ditch the spacer & do some cutting), very little cutting would be needed. I just don't trust spacers when big horsepower or hard cornering is involved.
