wheels

hello everyone this is my 1st post , i need a little help im trying to find wheels for a 92 camaro and i have been told by tire shops that 3rd gen are hard to fit so can someone help me (what am i looking for) will 2nd and 4th gen wheels work do i need spacers sorry im new at this and dont know much

Might be able to use stock 2nd gen wheels, but 4th gen ones need spacers.

and there is nothing "hard" abut fitment on a 3rd gen, just many places dont include them in their fitment list, so you have to search for wheels soley by the specs.

generally, a 8" wide wheel needs to have zero offset, or 4.5" of backspacing to fit properly. a wider wheel, you add the extra width to the above backspacing. you can fit up to 5" of bs in the from with stock brakes and wheels up to and including 17", 18 and larger diameter, you can use more since the wheel will clear the tie rod and strut, but be aware of clearance issues when turning.

on the rear, 6.5" of BS is about the max you can do with just minor hammering and maybo a littel cutting of the bump stop area.

if you search around here a bit, you will find many different wheels that will fit.
