Will these tires fit without mods?

I have a set of maxxis bravo m/t 295 50 16 tires that i plan on using on my Rear, Im running the GTA rims in the back which are 16x8.

Will i have to cut off the inside of the wheel well? or is it a direct fit?

Anybody using this size?

They should fit, 295 is the widest you can run stock without modification.

Though on an 8'' wide wheel they will have a lot of side wall flex while cornering. I dont recommend a tire wheel combo on the street.

I was running the same size mickey tompson et streets on my 16x8 Iroc wheels. Nice on the track, but pretty crappy on the street. I changed my setup being I only go to the track seldomly.

What do you mean by sidewall flex? Will it rub on turns?

No, won't rub. What he's saying is that with such a "tall" sidewall, when you take a fast corner, the sidewall will give some - the wheel will start to roll over onto the sidewall kind of. The longer anything is, the easier it bends - a "tall" sidewall will start to 'bend' under pressure in a hard turn.

Usually making the car lean and feel more loose/boaty in turns. Not a problem when going straight.

I have BFGs 295/50/16 on a factory 1990 IROC rim and I had to take a hammer to the inner front fender well and they still rub a little on a hard launch or a country road. My car has been lowered with Eibachs pro kit. Enjoy, Tim
