Need wheel adaptor help!
Need wheel adaptor help!
Ok so to make a long story short I just bought some AR rims but they are the wrong size. They are 15x7 rims with -6 millimeter offset, 3.76 inches backspacing and a 4.5" lug pattern. So I was looking at wheel adaptors that would take the bolt pattern from the 4.75 to the 4.5, but they are 1.25" thick. All I need to know is would they be too wide and require fender modification or look really stupid? Any help would be great! Thanks!

dont think its going to fly. sell the wheels, or return them if you can, and get the right ones

Thats what I was afraid of. I also found some 1" adapters but its still only 1/4" shorter.
Does anyone know what the offset is for the 15x7 stock iroc rims are? Are they +8mm? Because with this rims -6mm plus the 8mm of positive lost from the stock plus 1" of spacer.. just not looking good. I was hoping the stock rims were 0 offset so it wouldn't be as big of a difference.

pretty sure the stock 15x7 has a "0" offset, or 4" of BS. regardless, pushing the wheel out 1.25" will put it outside the wheel well and it will rub
actually, now that i think about it a little more, they might actually stay flush with the fender. hmm... i would still sell them and get the right ones, you are trying to "fix" a problem with a slightly problematic solution, and throwing more money at the problem.
think about this too, how long are the stock wheels studs? they are longer than 1", probably more than 1.25 long as well. so you would have to cut them down to fit the spacers unless the wheels have reliefs for the extra length cast into the back of the hub.
