Just curious for temporary tires for some 17s I bought. Just wondering if they would fit until I get the money together for some 275s.

#1 Are you SURE of the tire size? A 30 series 215 would literally be a rubber band.
#2 I seriously doubt that size could even fit a 8.5 wheel. 245s are good on 8" wheels, & your looking at a smaller width & wider wheel.
Save your $ until you can buy tires that fit. Means you'll have more $ to put towards good tires instead of spending some on uber-skinny tires (that don't fit anyways).

maybe a 35 series, came off my neighbors civic si, like I said, Im running a donut and would like a matching set of wheels. Just short term anyways
215/30/17 doesnt come up on tirerack....
a 215/35 will fit on a 8.5, its the max reccomended rim, but it is a rubber band, is only 23" tall, and will probably ride like crap on your car, but for a really short term tempory tire, maybe?
its also going to drop the front of the car almost 1.5", so keep that in mind too. it may be too low to drive.

I couldn't find it even on google. At least not in the first 10 or so results.Originally Posted by //<86TA>\\

And at that much height difference, a car would pull big time. Not good at all.Originally Posted by //<86TA>\\

not to mention.. a 215 on a 8.5 would be stretched...
i had 215/40/17 on my 17x8's.. and they looked stretched.. add another 1/2" and its going to really look lame

I say find some stock steelie rims, dont use those tires, you may end up damage something on the car & wont be able to use it at all. I wouldnt risk totaling my camaro for some twmporary tires. Im sure you can find some stock steel 14" rims & tires for cheap.
