Wheel Help

Hello to all, I recently aquired a 90 RS 305 car. I have a set of stock corvette C5 wheels that I've had for some time. The wheels are in storage so I have not had a chance to try them on the camaro.

Will they fit straight up? Are spacers needed? If so, what size front/rear?

The wheels are OEM GM, 17x8.5 fronts & 18x9.5 rears. Thanks in advance for the help!!!!

Re: Wheel Help

Be patient. There are people here who are running those, who can tell you what spacers you need. But they may log in only every other day.
You do need spacers. I just don't know what thicknesses.

Re: Wheel Help

With C5 wheels I used 2 inch front and back. If you go for bigger than stock C5 tires in the back you may want 1 3/4 or 1 1/2 but you may have to do some major hammering on the inner fender wells to stop tires from rubbing. I had 285/40/18 with the 2 inch and they hit quarter panel lip. I rolled the lip that fixed it.
I now run 275/35/18 with 2 inch no problems.

Thank you sir! I have stock tire sizes (245 up front & 275 out back).

Cool man we should meet up, but the 3rd gen is not "exactly" travel ready yet, she runs, but she's rough.

I see you have a couple of cars, I also have an 03 vette, 90 mustang, & 08 mustang (I know it's like rooting for both UF & FSU at the same time...LOL).

Re: Wheel Help

That would be great. Like they say boys and their TOYS. My TA is apart, just putting the finishing touches on the wireing. My 69 camaro is in the body shop fixing the rust on the roof and then I have to repaint it.
