Who's running 225-55-16 tires?
I'm curious to know how many TGO members are running 225-55-16 sized tires on their 16" wheels as the availability of 245-50-16 sized ones is almost non existent these days.

I'm not saying they aren't available, just there are no high performance choices - besides the BFG G-Force Sports (I have them in 275-40-17 on CTW Wheels). Can't get Conti Xtreme DW, Dunlop DZ101, BFG KDW2, Falken FK452... And the Nitto DR are available in stock size too, thankfully...

What about the Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500 or the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3? The 225s give better response, better at the limits of adhesion. If you can forego looks, a 225/50R16 Dunlop Star Spec will put any 245/50R16 street radial to shame, using 8" wheels. People are so used to seeing 245/50s that it makes the 225/55s look as "wrong" as a 225/50 looks too short. Not as bad on a 'maro as on a 'bird, because of the 'bird wheel wells being more rounded.
