Help choosing tires
Hey guys, I need help choosing rear tires for my IROC. The car still have the original rims so the size would be 245/50/16 or maybe 255/50/16 thou the options are limited. The bottom line is, I drive the car year around(for now), and I need something that would not wear quickly( 25000-30000 is acceptable) , can handle wet conditions, and will have good traction at the track as I'm going few times a year. My budget is up to $140 per tire. I've been looking at Cooper zeon RS3-A, they seem to be good all season tire, but I don't know how they will perform on the track, I couldn't find a solid amount of reviews on them as well. The second tire I've looked on was BFGoodrich g-Force comp-2, they were a little over my budget, but was able to find them at $150 a piece and figured if the place will include installation in the price I would stretch it, but also wasn't sure if those will manage wet conditions. Any thoughts or other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Help choosing tires
Read up on these Sumitomo all season tires. They seem good for wet weather.

Re: Help choosing tires
Haven't heard about this brand before, the question is, how well the traction going to be on the track with this tire?...finding all season tire is easy, whats hard is to find a tire that gives you a little of both world

Re: Help choosing tires
Problem is there are only a few choices of tires in the 245-50-16 size available - most are cheapish, older designs.
