you need to look up the avaliable tire size for 16in tire and go from there then you can see how wide you can go on the wheel

It's been done by another member here. I believe he had 1.5" added to it. Here I took the time to even look it up for you: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/whee...y-90-iroc.html
Overall yes it does look different. Going up 1.5" isn't going to make a bunch of difference on the tire selection normally. It just comes back to personal opinion. If you're not attached to your rims it would be easier to just replace them. Jegs has a sell on aftermarket ones now for $90 to $120 each which is very reasonable even on their knock off designs.

the price for new tires and cost to widen them shipping etc vs just buying aftermarket wheels used or new your prob going to spen 150 to 200 per wheel to widen and the $ to performance gain is it worth it is another thought
and ive seen that thread and he wanted to go wider but tire selection the wider you go gets slimmer 9 - 9.5 would be safe
which a 255 would be ideal or 275 depending on how much stretch or bulge you like
but its personal preference and it would look good if its done right if your going for the sleeper loook

IMO it looks great when its done right. I've seen users that have had them widened to a 10 inch or so.
