been searching but not finding any thing that will tell me how tall and wide in inches a tire will be. is there a conversion table or formula? the tires i want to know about are 275/50/15 any help?

Sure.
That tire is 275mm wide. There are 25.4mm per inch. So 275/25.4 = 10.8" wide.
50 is the side wall height in percent of the width. So the sidewall height is 0.5*275/25.4=5.4"
Wheel size is 15". So overall height is 15+5.4+5.4 = 25.8"

thank you so very much... i just hope i dont lose the formula for the next time....
Width - divide the mm section width by 25.4
Tire diameter - multiply the section width * profile *2, divide that number by 25.4, then add that number to your wheel diamter.
Example: (275*2*.50)/25.4 + 15 = 25.73" diameter...
