So I'm finally replacing my bald, burned-out tires within a few weeks. What I really want to do is replace the wheels too, and use the old wheels for winter tires, depending on tax returns and such. However, I have no idea what I'm doing in that area, I just know what look I want. I want to get the Cragar soft 8's (this isn't about which wheels, so please don't tell me how ugly you think they are). I'd really like SLIGHTLY wider in the front AND back. I don't know what backspacing I'll need though, and I don't know how wide I can go or want to go. I want the tires to be just inside the fenders without any modification, if at all possible, and without rubbing in the front. If these requests are ridiculous and impossible, just say so. My car isn't lowered yet, but will be by summer hopefully. So in short, my wish list for these wheels and tires is as follows:

1. wider front and back, and what size is right for what I want
2. fit inside fenders
3. backspacing
4. will it cost me too much more money to get wider wheels and tires?
5. do the soft 8s even come in the size any of you recommend?

I'm probably forgetting things but any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Eh never mind, decided to keep the trans am wheels, I'll get new wheels down the line.
