255/50 16 on IROC

Looking at adding a 1987 IROC to the toy box. The car i am looking at now is nice but needs new tires. I want to know if a 255/50 16 (one size up from stock) would fit and not have any clearance issues. So i am asking in case someone reading has tried it. Thanks!

I have them on the rear of my 92 RS. 245/50r16 on front. There is a thread about this already. It has some pics too.

You'd be fine. You won't rub at all. I run the same on my RS on IROCs.
