Negative effect of 295/50/16 on a 8'' rim
I'm going to put some Hoosier 295/50/16 on my stock 16'' rims . What are the side effects of this combo . I have plenty of gear, motor & I will only be using them at the track thanks

The one effect is the fact that the wheel is too narrow for the tires, it should be at least 9.5". So on a 8" wheel, there will be a boatload of sidewall bulge that will make the car feel extremely sloppy in turns and will feel squirly at the big end of the 1/4 mile.

Turns i'm not concerned about , but will the car feel unsafe at 115-120 mph at the trap ? .
