Magnesium wheels!!
Long story short, I got a deal on the Magnesium wheels off a corvette with 3 having minimum curb rash, and one having a small chunk of the front wheel surface. First all I would love to run these. So i slapped them on my rear end, the 18x9.5s. And they rubbed the front inner part of the wheel. even though i have a 2000 ws6 rear end im going to have to get spacers. Heres the tricky part. Is it worth me trying to repair all 4 of them? since its definitely more then what I paid for them? (200) Or should I just not worry about them since they are pretty much straight and no bends and just get some tires on them...

If it's these wheels you're talking about I'd deffinatly get them repaired. Great looking wheels, real light, and super rare too.

yes! Those exact ones! I was trying to upload a picture of the condition of them all for a opinion, but if I get them fixed, I'm gonna get smoked grey. Any idea as to why they still rub even with the 4th gen rear end?

Hammer the wheel well a little bit if u have to. Common issue with wider rear wheels and is easy to fix.

Re: Magnesium wheels!!
Well i took them to a corvette guy and he looked at them and checked them out and he said hed make me a dealio. He said he'd give me the speed lines with brand new auto x slicks on all 4, 17x8.5 and 18x9.5s and a set of DD tires since i cant really legally or safely drive on slicks in the rain and some wheel spacers for 600. 300 is accredited from the magnesium wheels. Which i think is a smoking deal for the wheels and tires alone! they have like 30 hours on them from auto cross, but the guy who had them gave them to the corvette guy because he developed TB in marchish of 2014. So Tuesday Im gonna get all the stuff, and have them on and switch hopefully. a 17x8.5 with a 265/40 or 45 how big of a front wheel spacer would i need?
Edit: i got the street tires for 40, and the wheel spacers for 100. front and back. on top of the 300 for the brand new skinnier c5 anniversary wheels with slicks.
