Re-Machined wheels from getallparts.com?
Forgive me if this has been covered but I didn't see it when I hit "search forums"
Ok..so I'm surfin the net cause I've got the next couple days off and I came across the getallparts.com site and they have what they call SureFit front and rear wheels for our cars. Wheels are re-machined, painted to factory color (grey or gold) and clear coated. Best of all is the price. For front and rears for my car they are just $629 shipped to my door...yep, all four to my door for that price!
So I call and get the lowdown. Man on the phone knowledgeable about cars, knows the diff between chevy/ford etc..not your run of the mill CSR. He told me they are indeed re-machined and not polished and are in stock but they sell quick and then it takes a couple weeks to get more. Now I'm posting this here to see what you guys think. They have other Camaro wheels as well.

Re: Re-Machined wheels from getallparts.com?
If they're re-machined, tehy probably just take a small layer off the front surface of the wheel... any scratches, oxidation, crappy paint, etc, would come right off the front and you get to fresh aluminum down there. Off the top of my head it seems like a great way to refurb wheels, I just figured it would be too expensive to do at a good price. But I woudlnt have any issue with it if I was willing to stick with 16x8s. The performacne tire selection in 245/50/16 has really gone downhill.

I know right? Tire pickings are pretty slim for a 16" wheel.
Well I might pull the trigger though, my Iroc has a 4k paint job and fresh decals. Only has 50k original miles. You can get polished ones anywhere. I want to bring her back to factory stock. Anyone else deal with these guys before???
