Check my math please

Alright, looking at wheels. I really like american racing torg-thrust M.
I have read article after article and come to the conclusion that I want to run a 18x10 with 5.5" Backspace on the rear and a 17x8 with 5.5" backspace on the front. Will this cause any issues with the fender walls, or suspension? Ride height will be stock. Any body run anything similar also and want to post pictures??

Re: Check my math please

The specs on the rear work, front will not clear with a 5.5" BS on a 17" wheel - you need something in the 4.5" to 5.0" BS.

One important thing to point out is how the car will handle with much wider tires on the rear than the front; you are going to get a lot of mechanical understeer.

Have you considered putting a 18" x 10" wheel and a 275 or 285 width tire on all 4 corners?

Can I fit an 18" x 10" on the front as well? I was under the impression that I wouldnt have clearance.

Yes.

There are a few members here with 18" x 10.5" wheels all around - assuming the BS is correct...

Do you have any idea what backspace I would need to run to fit them? 5? Thanks paul_huryk

For 10" wide wheels in 18", you would need something in the 5.75" to 6" range. They tuck the tie rods into the wheel barrel up front.
