Best 16 inch OE tire look?

I'm finishing up a complete rotisserie restoration on my 87 formula and was wanting to find a tire that best replicates the old gatorbacks. Any suggestions? Performance is not as important as looks. Thanks

Re: Best 16 inch OE tire look?

If you are looking for a similar tread pattern, you are out of luck - nothing that resembles Gatorbacks is on the market today in 245-50-16

In fact, looking at Tire Rack and DTD, there are only 8 tires in the 245-50-16 size that would be suitable.

There is a solution - the 225-55-16 size is completely swapable for the 245-50-16 OEM tires and there are around 50 tire choices in that size - which was on pretty much every Euro sedan from the 90's to the mid 2000's.
