What brand and size tires do I need ?
Im having issues with my current tires. Ive got 245/50/16 fire hawks W rated that came with the car when I bought it, and my car blows the tires off when you floor it. Ive got a TPI 350 pushing roughly 375-380 to the wheels and ive got the borg warner 3.27 posi rear end with 16x8 iroc z wheels. Id like to go with a larger size in the rear and something none directional. If anyone has any suggestions im all ears.

Take a look at 245/45-16 that's what I had to do to get decent track day tires for mine. ( I didn't want to change to 17 or 18's). Lots of options in that size as some older 911's use them... About same width but they are about 1" smaller diameter

You can run drag radials in a 295/50R16, or the Toyo Proxes TQ 275/45R16, or several other drag radials in 255/50R16, or Nitto still offers a 245/50R16 drag radial.
Shorter tires won't help traction. So forget the 245/45s on the rear.
With some searching, you may still be able to find some 265/45R16 autocross tires.

A few of my friends I work with who do the tire work at my shop suggested proxy's, and I know Toyo makes a good tire. And I've thought about drag radials but I'm not sure how those would last cause I do drive this thing daily.

Nitto's drag radials can go as much as 15K miles, I assume that's to totally bald, not to the top of Lincoln's head on a penny, but 5K is a more common number. Basically, with drag radials plan on a new set every summer. Or springtime, probably, then winter tires or garage it in October or November.
I'm planning to try a pair of the Toyo TQs on my '83 RX-7 in a few months, but all I "know" about them is what I've read online.
