So with 1.25 adpaters... the back of the rim doesn't come flush with the adapter... why? Because of the ****ing hub... how should I go about this?
1. Shaving the end all around of the hub a little?
2. Scarier longer adapters? (2 inch) (adapters needed either way for the hub clearing of thelse types of rims) (and different lug pattern)
3. Honing the center of the rim? Which would be the hardest
What to do what to do.... only needs a half a inch more of spacer/adapter
I'm getting these things for 500 bucks plus trade wheels I have around the house sounds like a good deal to me to pass up Kinda on but not secure because of the gap left between the rotor and spacerHand tightened wheel on, and thats the space gap between the back of the wheel and the spacer... the hub is keeping it from coming together cause the center hub boar is tapered Shows the abrasion marks of how far it can go before the hub cant go further... You can see the paint bung scrunthced and scrapped the center bore just being off by like a centimeter
I had the same problem on my old ford truck with front adapters, I just took a grinder and ground about a 1/4 inch deep- maybe 1/16 of material around the hub itself. Doesn't take much.
Now, this is my old "yucky truck", as my daughters call it, so modifications such as these don't scare me. And no vibrations or any funny business afterwards, drives just fine.
