trying to find the tires that hook the best on a stock suspension, my car is street driven and I hit the track once in a great while. Looking for tires that are street legal or track tires.

1.869 on MT street SS, 255-55-16 not too many tire choices in 16"

By the way this was on a "street night" at NED so there was no track prep,

Nitto drag radials had enough grip to shatter the 10 bolt on my first pass at the track in my last car.

MT is the stickiest street tire there is. It's so sticky it's really just a track tire with DOT tread. Switching to a different brand of street tire is just going to be worse.

The other DOT drag radials at that level are really just track tires and the tire itself isn't tough enough for the rigors of street driving. MT tire will survive some road debris that would blow out the other tires.

Stuff like the Nitto and Toyo are really just summer performance tires and aren't even close to the traction a MT will deliver. But if you don't NEED the traction of an MT then the others offer soooooo much better life and drivability.
