60ft: Are all street tires created equal?

Are there any brands or models that give noticable improvements over others? (besides differences in width & no street legal radial drag tires)

I'm gonna need new tires soon so I might as well try and get ones with the best traction off-the-line.

yeah there are differences
the softer the compound the more traction.
but they will wear much quicker.

very true!

my friend has cheap tires but they are way softer than my hard compound/ dry-rotting tires.. and he can give into it alot and hardly spin and hook up...

i cant even give half throtle without spinning those pieces of crap...
