Its a work in progress, my wife and I picked it up for $600 right around the corner from our old apartment. I tinkered with it for a little while at first, freshened up the engine with new double roller timing chain, LT1 cam, headers, a few new gaskets, a fresh coat of black paint and a bit of chrome for style. It sat for awhile due to carb issues, but survived a move to a new house. There it received the love and care it needed under the hood. (New job, better pay, I went parts shopping!) Recent add-ons included a 1975 style HEI distributor, a reman Edelbrock 600cfm 4BBL and new plugs and wires. Body work will be next year(2011) and will be wrapped in a basecoat/clearcoat paint job. GM black pearl basecoat with some custom Firebird emblems airbrushed silver in place of the current decals. Interior restoration will follow in the near future.
