Third carb. This spread bore Holley had an AMAZING sound, ran great, but wouldn't cooperate with the 700R4, so it was replaced with a square bore Holley. Then the transmission died...

New console plate and window switches. There is no longer any evidence this car ever had an automatic...and my windows work.

168-tooth flywheel. The block is a '74 and is only drilled for this starter location.

I liked how the spread bore matched the intake, but the linkage proved incompatible with the 700R4 (when she was still an auto car.)

I had to grind the flange to clearance the headers. Needless to say, grinding on $400 made me sick.

Second carb. The original Quadrajet caught on fire, this Qjet had major vacuum leaks. She's now on her fourth carb, a square bore Holley.

This bell housing completely filled the transmission tunnel.

The T5 is up, and the hydraulic transmission mount will be replaced with a traditional rubber one.

I fabricated the torque arm bracket for the T5. I have since replaced it with a new one from Summit.

The original exhaust was restrictive (even with the holes!) and quite fugly. Also, the leaks made driving with the windows up unpleasant and dangerous.
