Picked up the car in late fall of 2019 for 6500cdn. Had 10 previous owners and at least one garage paint job. T-Roofs were leaking so I decided it was time to start replacing the old weather stripping. At which point I was not ready for what I was going to find...

Dustless sandblaster was able to help with clearing all the old paintwork back down to nothing.

Overall metal work is in great shape. However after blasting, it revealed that the front upper fender braces were replaced and numerous other "backyard" patch jobs were done over the years.

Once it was blasted, returned to my shop with a fresh coat of epoxy primer.

Tearing everything apart to find all the rust and other corruption that's happened to this car over the years...

I saw rust in the t-roof channels, thankfully it wasn't bad and only surface rust. But the more I dug into it, the worse it got.

Found out that the passenger door has been swapped and isn't the original.

Now it's off to a body shop that does rust repair work. DTM Fabrication.

Picked up a floor pan from California. Thanks to Frank's Pontiac parts for this!

Needless to say, it was easier to replace the entire floor pan on this side than deal with the pinholes and other nonsense that was done here.

The person who did this should have their tools confiscated...

While getting into this area of the floor pan, I knew the rockers had been eaten away but did not realize it was this bad. But it was easily fixed with the fresh donor pan.

THIS IS WHAT STARTED THIS WHOLE MESS! A hole in the T-Roof on the pass side that was gooped so full of body filler, there was a 2" plug stuffed into the hole...

Repaired the rocker. While we were in there we found where the sandblasting medium went when it was being rinsed out...

Clean patch in place. This was done on both side to repair the leading edge of the rocker on the driver's side and fix the major dents where people decided it was a good idea to jack up the car by the rocker.

Clean floor. Couple small dents that won't take much to level out.

This is some weird rippling on the rear fender well. I will be getting a PDR shop to look at this to see if it can be worked out a bit to avoid having to fill it.

The front upper frame rail seems to have been hit with something, but not quite sure. Metal is solid though. Will be getting this looked at...
