The front end of the main shaft looks pretty bad. Oh and it looks like the detents are shot out of this gear too.

It’s not a good picture but this is the front main seal, it seams to be where the oil is the wettest, even thought I might be able to fix it from the timing cover, I think if I try to fix it, I need to do the whole pan.

I noticed a lot of grease on the throw out bearing(maybe that’s what it is?) is this a concern?
