Another notch on the opposite side that lines up with the other side. Leads me to believe that this car had a Police Boot on it for some reason. That, or it was towed the old way and not on a flat bed.

Far Left to Right: Passenger 1/4, Original Hood, Hatch Lid w/ 3rd Brake Light Provision, Replacement Hood & Driver Side Fender. I've had that Fender a good 18 years. Drove to The Paddock when it was still in business here in Indiana to get it. EDP coating has started to rust over the years.

Passenger Side different angle. Here is where I don't think this is a hack job and it's an early version. Look at the angle cut on the rail. No indication that a hole was there to attach the tube straight across like on yours.
