UPDATED: Server Maintenance 9/28/2006

This site will be going offline on 9/28/2006 at 9:30 AM (Eastern) in order to move to a new server. This move should be complete by the end of the day, although it may take up to 48 hours for DNS changes to propagate to your internet service provider.

10/9/2006 UPDATE: The server move went pretty smoothly. There were only a few hours of downtime (mostly due to how long it takes to move 15GB of data across the internet and then unpack a zillion tiny files). At this point, we are using a master/slave setup for the database. This has worked out so well that the search restrictions have been drastically decreased. There is still a 60 second wait between searches (this does NOT apply if your first search returns no results) and you are still limited to 1000 results, but the limit of 5 users searching at a time has been removed, as has the 5 minute penalty for double-clicking the Search’s “Go” button.
