ac delco part #8673948

hey everybody, i'm new here and i was just wondering if anyone has had any experience installing delco #8673948. it is the modified up shift valves for the tranny that is normally found in caprice classics 9c1 and corvettes. i have 4.10's in my car(91 ta 5.0l TPI)and i run out of revs at the end of the 1/4 mile. if anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. its a 700r4 with computer control lock-up

what kind of info do you want? I think fairbanks makes one too, stay away from the B&M one.

thanks for writing back, i was just hoping someone might have an idea on whether this thing was a hassle or not. i actually got the
delco part here and it comes with 5 separate pieces. i have a diagram from a shop manual that shows three of the pieces i have in this kit . the one piece is the bore that actually goes in the valve body and is pinned in, the other is the spring for the inside of the bore.and the other part is the valve that sits on the spring inside the bore. the other 2 pieces look like two valves. i have no idea where they go.but anyway does anybody know if the valve body actually has to come down??or if i need to install all 5 pieces for this thing to upshift.maybe i should just go with a t5 and say forget it!!!!!!
thanks

laiky,
if you get this message u da man!!!!!the fairbanks one is a single valve it looks dirt cheap to buy, and it can be installed without removing the valve body from the case.
i've been pondering this for weeks...........Thanks
