I saw a pic of a thrdgen with 16" s-10 Xtreme wheels. It looked cool but....


Do s-10 wheels bolt up or did thye use wheel adapters and does anyone make aftermarket Xtreme wheels (factory style) larget than 16" or chrome plated ?

I have heard that they are a direct bolt-up, at least with the older s-10s...that might not be true, just what i think i heard someone say one time

 

I remember vaguely reading somewhere that some of the wheels that are coming with newer S-10s are jus left over wheels from older Camaros.

 

the Xtreme rims have the same bolt pattern, and the backspacing on them look like they outta fit with no probs, cuz i own a 99 Xtreme. also, the S-10s with the ZQ8 suspension(sport suspension) come with 16" rims that look just like the 91-92 Z28 16's except they have a bowtie or GMC(on the Sonomas) logo on the center cap by the way, where did you see that pic of a fbody with xtreme rims?

 

The 2WD s-10s have the same offset and bolt pattern as the thirdgens. The s10s used left over 91-92 Z28 FRONT wheels.

The 4wd s-10s have a much different offset, more similar to the 4th gen offset.

A friend of mine bought a set of s10 extreme rims for his red 88 TA, they bolted right up, they look awaesome, they fill out the fender wells perfectly, They look so good, im thinkin about putting them on my 86 z28, but i might put ZR1 rims on it instead, it depends on what i can find... anyways just my two cents...

its kinda funny!
Theres a guy that lives in my apt complex that has a newer s-10 and he put the 16in 91-92 Z wheels on his truck! He even has the Camaro caps!

just thought I'd let you know, just for kicks!


BTW xtreme wheels look sweet, if ya find a pic of a third gen with them, you have to post it...
