help. coolant leak.........

help. coolant leak...(updated)......

hi guys in this pic you can see the area circled, can anyone tell me what this part is and what the part number is? it has 3 pipes on it and it goes in to the block, its leaking bad now and i dont want to take it out cos it looks like it will just snap of and cause me loads more hassle.
please help, thanks in advance and all that.

That device is usually removed. Part number, no clue?

That device sends coolent up to the throttle body to warm it up, and also sends coolent in or out (I forget) of the engine and heater core.


I have cut mine out, pulled the thing out of the intake, and threaded in new pipe fittings and rubber hose. Very commen for them to leak.

i had to go and touch it didnt i.......

i thought **** to it and started stripping it out but when i got there i found it already snapped out, thats where the water was leaking from. now i have part of the threaded bit broken off in the intake. any sugestions?

hi mate. when you took your throttle body coolant pipr fitting out can you remember what size the thread was as im gona do the same, im just gona thread in a new fitting in and run a pipe to the heater controle valve thing, but i need to know what fitting to get , was it a common thread or an odd one?
