dieCast Models for 91-92 Z28s

Everywhere i go, i see to many 1st gens, some 2nd gens and alot of 4th gens... The only diecast models for 3rd gens that ive seen are 1982 ones... Do they make any Iroc ones with TPI? Or any 91-92 Z28s? The closest TPI one i saw was a 1986 Corvette Convt Pace Car. Man when are they gonna make more 3rd gen models, there the best looking Fbodys, well atleast IMO..

yea, i just got the snow white RS. Since it's the same exact car as i really have. 2 left it said so i hopped on it, they're probably lying though.

I'm still searching for bigger models, 1/64th is the only ones i've been able to find for 91/92

they dont make a 91-92 diecast yet. but i have seen a 3rd gen diecast with a tpi motor in it. i have 2 of them on my desk. most are just basic z28's. the ones with a tpi motor that i have are matchbox dare 3rd gen police cars. they made 2 different ones that i know of and i have both. check odd ball stores for them. i found mine at a pharmacy. i also got 2 dare police 3rd gen firebirds. buts the hoods dont open. i would like to get that 92 rs police car though.

I have those MB DARE cars too plus the Johnny Lightning IROCS but I think that he was referring to 1:18th scale cars.If any company that will probably make them in that scale would probably be Sunstar(the co. that makes the '82s) or Ertl.

You're having a hard time finding 3rd gen camaros, try looking for a 3rdgen Trans Am. I have yet to find one.

Try ebay but seriously the only 1:18th 3rdgen T/A is the one done as K.I.T.T. that recently just came out, sold online.

never understood that... it's always the rs models or the berlinetta that you see.

i have a few iroc versions but i've never seen the z28 91-92 in metal. it's no wonder they never sold.

I know it's not EXACTLY what you are looking for but a company called 'CORGI' made a Camaro racer (IROC?) in 1985... model # is C151... model range is Corgi supersonics ('push down, pull back and release - with sound)

I would imagine it may be available from either CORGI themselves or toy shops/collectors

hope that this is useful

A co-worker of mine bought them new a few years ago. He collects the Johnny Lightning series.

Yes, they are 100% new, unopened.

I just picked up Toy Fair versions of a third and second gen Camaro!
Kinda dark blue chrome paint, with Toy Fair stamping on the roof!
I still see the others posted at the local outlet store!

Most of the 3rdgens done by JL could have been done better. For one they used the ame '82 Z28 casting for all 3rdgens.Another is the IROCs,the red '87, the decals were put on the back half of the door instead of the front...but hey,at least they have Irocs.I have all those in my collection btw.

I don't have that one but it is probably what I was talking about, them using the '82 Z28 for all 3rdgens.So what you are seeing are the indentions for the '82 Z28 hood,or are they '91-92 Z28 blisters?.

One way is to buy the 1;18 sunstar 82-84Z28 model & any tpi vette.Switch the engines, make your own hood blisters(not that hard). The one draw back are the 91/2 Z wheels...
