New REAR and Wheels, Should They Fit?

Hey i will be installing a rear end from a 95 Pontiac into my 89 RS. It comes with 2 stock TA Rims from 95. Will my tires still stick out using the 4th gen rims back there? Will i have any clearance issues on the inner fender well? I have read a lot of posts on here including the tech article on swapping rears, but no one comes out and says if i run the 4th gen rear on 4th gen rims, if there will be any clearance issues on my 3rd gen camaro that has been lowered using the SPORTLINE Lowering springs:HELP:

They should fit. They should come out to within ½" or so of your existing wheels on both the inside and outside, depending on how wide your current ones and the other ones are.

They'll fit just fine; it's been done many times and is required. I installed a 95Z rear end in my car and have aftermarket wheels with a fourth generation offset. Like a glove! With the fourthgen rear, your thirdgen wheels would stick out of the fenderwell about 2" on each side IIRC.

Thank you bud, Looks awesome. So are you running spacers in the front then? Also, what size tire are you running in the rear.

275/40 tires all the way around and Im using 2.25" spacers in the front because my wheels have a high offset (+56mm).

that is a mights large offset, are you spaced in the rear too?

I would like to be able to run without spacers on mine, one less week link.

No spacers in the back. I was surprised about the fit too.

And yes Ed Emerson is the guy on ebay in Torrance. Sounds like you are getting a deal though for under $200.
Good luck,
-Efrain.
